Pastor Shana Dukes is not only a pastor, but a wife, a mother, a teacher, a sister, and a friend. She was born and raised in Howell, New Jersey. She is married to Pastor Damon Dukes and together they pastor RockLife Church in Swedesboro, NJ. They are high school sweethearts and best friends and have two sons together.
Pastor Shana accepted Jesus Christ at age twelve due to her mother telling her about the love of God. She was baptized, attended church with her family, and served on the choir and drama ministries. As a teenager, she was accepted in the four-year Honors Business Administration Program at Marlboro High School in Marlboro, NJ. She then went on to Boston University in Boston, Massachusetts, and received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, minoring in Finance. She also studied International Business at Boston University, London, England, and interned at Citibank London. While at Boston University, she worked for the B.E.L.L. Foundation, helping inner city children get afterschool support in academics and was heavily involved in volunteerism. After graduating, she went on to work for the Boston Stock Exchange, and then on to Wall Street for Barclays Bank and Lehman Brothers in New York, New York.
After getting married, the Lord blessed Pastor Damon and Shana with two sons very early in their marriage. Pastor Shana stayed home with their sons until they were school-age. She then became an elementary school substitute teacher, particularly drawn to Special Education. She fell in love again with helping students achieve and become successful and wanted to make sure students started each day with a fresh start and confidence in order to succeed. In 2012, Pastor Shana was accepted in the Masters Program at Wilmington University in New Castle, Delaware, for Kindergarten to Sixth Grade Elementary Education. She graduated in 2014 with her Masters Degree, certified to teach General and Special Education in Delaware and New Jersey. She is a Sixth Grade Social Studies teacher at Calvin R. McCullough Middle School in New Castle, Delaware.
Pastor Shana loves God’s Church and His people. Through the years, she has served in many ways such as being a teacher in the Healing School Ministry and for Women’s ministry events, serving in the role of Director of Vacation Bible School for 250 children and managing 100 volunteers for 3 years and other children’s events, serving in the Christian Bookstore, and ministering to those in need in church and out. Pastor Shana loves, empowers, and equips those from all walks of life, young and old. Since the inception of RockLife Church in 2014, she has had the awesome privilege of leading and administering many ministries and events that minister to and uplift people such as the Grace Girls Closet and other Women’s Events, Two4Life Annual Marriage Conferences, marriage meetings and counseling sessions, Children’s Ministries and Events, the Nursing Home Ministry, and the LifeGroup Ministry. She has attended many ministry conferences and meetings in the United States and has been a student of the Living Faith Bible Training Center in Pennsauken, New Jersey. Pastor Shana loves Jesus, loves others, loves giving, and loves serving. Her mission every day is to have the Culture of Love through the Character of Christ so that those will come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.
