Born and reared in Liberia, West Africa, Gloria Johnson Appleton has always had a heart and passion for helping those at a disadvantage. Her parents instilled in her the values of kindness, humility and love. The heart she has for others is like no other and she strives daily to show her care and compassion for others through her life, education and work as a Social Worker. As a mother, widow and grandmother, she understands the challenges that women of the world face, specifically women of the diaspora and aims to tackle them head on.
